My belief in standardized test preparation was born from my own college admissions experience. Years ago I was in the midst of the same dreaded process that millions of high school juniors and seniors go through annually. Between AP courses, college visits, sports practices, extracurricular activities, college essays, and standardized tests there was barely enough time to fit in meals. On top of all this was the stress of wondering whether I would get accepted into the colleges of my choice. I took the SATs for the first time in the spring of my junior year and did not feel that my scores matched my potential. In order to boost my results I signed up for private SAT tutoring. My instructor was great and his individualized test preparation increased my familiarity with the test and my confidence levels enormously. My SAT scores increased dramatically the second time around and I was eventually offered a substantial scholarship to my top college choice. I’ve seen the value of quality SAT preparation first hand and my goal is to provide similar results to my students.
